Los Angeles (October 5, 2015) — Clear Capital Advisors, which advises middle market companies, today announced it served as advisor on the recently completed merger of TTG Engineers (“TTG”), a full-service engineering consulting firm with a team of over 360 professionals, with KJWW Engineering (“KJWW”), an international engineering consulting firm with 500 employees in 16 offices worldwide. Clear Capital Advisors advised TTG in the transaction.
Founded in 1955, TTG has 12 locations in the U.S. and three international locations. TTG’s services cover the full spectrum of engineering—including construction support services needed to successfully carry projects from planning through construction phases. This merger will combine TTG and KJWW to bring 114 years of experience, along with many award-winning projects and “firsts” in sustainable design, such as the world’s largest lake-coupled geothermal system, the largest LEED Platinum office building in the U.S., the first LEED Platinum data center in the U.S., the first LEED Platinum university building in Illinois, and the first GSA-owned LEED Platinum building in the nation.

“The merger gives both firms a larger presence throughout the U.S. and strengthens our collective dominance in the healthcare, higher education, government, entertainment, industrial, and transportation markets,” said Zareh Astourian, PE, SE, president of TTG. Bruce Pompan, Managed Director of Clear Capital Advisors added, “The combination of TTG and KJWW creates a powerful platform escalating the combined firm to the top echelon of engineering firms in the U.S.”

TTG is currently ranked as the 14th largest engineering firm in the U.S. (BD+C Giants Report) and 234th among Top 500 Design Firms in the U.S. (ENR)

The merger creates a 900-employee workforce spread across 25 national and five international locations. In addition to offering an expanded geographic reach, the alignment allows a greater depth and breadth of engineering, project management, and building design services to be available from the merged organizations, which will continue to operate as KJWW and TTG under the creation of a holding company with common management.
